Experience
I earned my Ph.D. from the Colorado School of Mines in the field of mathematical sciences. I have published in the field of mathematical sciences and I taught college mathematics classes for over seven years. I have experience tutoring students in high school as well as tutoring college students, and am able to tutor students studying high school or college math including algebra, geometry as well as trigonometry, and various levels of high school or college calculus ranging from precalculus through calculus 4 (including multivariable calculus and various kinds of specialized calculus for science and engineering majors). I can also tutor students studying statistics at the graduate or undergraduate level, and students seeking tutoring for specialized and advanced mathematics classes like differential equations and finite mathematics. I am also prepared to work with students who need help with basic math or who are preparing for standardized tests including the AP Calculus AB, AP Calculus BC, and AP Statistics tests. I enjoy assisting students to learn, and when I am not working, I enjoy riding mountain bikes, hiking, and basketball. I also enjoy chess, reading, and movies.
