Experience
I attended the Honors College of Arizona State, where I acquired my bachelor's degree in physics and mathematics. Currently, I am in the process of getting ready to begin another academic journey in my life. I was recently accepted to UC Davis where I am hoping to receive my doctorate in physics. After completion of my doctorate, I hope to eventually obtain a position as a professor at a university. I have several years of tutoring and teaching experience behind me. While studying at Arizona State, I tutored my fellow peers in math and physics. While I was in high school, I tutored middle school children in science, math, and study skills. Although I have a love for all forms of knowledge, I believe I am most comfortable working with students who need aid in either physics or math. I find working with math and the sciences to be extremely rewarding. When it comes to my tutoring style, I like to mix up the methods of teaching. While I do lecture, I also try to provide examples and explanations to my students. I also use positive reinforcement while tutoring. Teaching cannot be serious all the time. Because of this belief, I do pride myself in being humorous and witty during my lessons. When I am not teaching, I can be found playing all types of games, ranging from basic card games to virtual role playing games.
