Hobbies

I have worked as a teacher/tutor or mentor for over 25 years. Born and raised on the east coast, I have called Scottsdale home for the past two years. I began my career on Wall Street as an options trader. After eight years I left Wall Street to return to my passion: teaching, taking a position in New York City. I enjoy sports, movies, playing bridge and all that Scottsdale has to offer. With regard to hobbies, I have traveled the world and competed in both national and international bridge competitions. I have had articles published in bridge magazines and am very active in an organization which is working hard to promote bridge in the schools. Bridge is part of the standard curriculum in China, taught to 2 million children every day. It promotes logic, partnership, teamwork. creative thinking, reasoning, and utilizes arithmetic and problem solving abilities. It also provides an outlet for children who may not be able to participate in strenuous or physical activities. With regard to my tutoring schedule, as I mentioned above, I am self-employed and that allows me to have a flexible schedule with regard to availability. I have a reliable means of transportation and understand the values of responsibility and punctuality. I love teaching and I am great with children. References available upon request.
